Who We Support

Relay SG60 proudly supports Community Chest, the fundraising and engagement arm of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS).

Community Chest raises funds and mobilises community support for over 200 critical social service programmes run by charities across Singapore,  supporting children with special needs and youth-at-risk, adults with disabilities, seniors, families in need, and persons with mental health conditions. 100% of public donations go directly to help those in need.

Relay SG60 by Relay Majulah

As Singapore approaches her 60th year of independence, Relay SG60 by Relay Majulah marks a meaningful way to commemorate this national milestone.

Building on the legacy of the inaugural Relay Majulah held in 2019, this ground-up initiative brings together 60 teams to run 600km in 60 hours, raising funds for over 200 programmes run by charities and supported by Community Chest Singapore.

Co-organised by Li Foundation and Zephyr Running Club, Relay SG60 is more than a physical challenge. It is a powerful symbol of unity, resilience, and giving, rallying individuals from all walks of life to step forward together in celebration of Singapore’s journey.

In this milestone year, business leaders, nonprofit organisations, and individuals will come together to raise SGD 300,000 — or up to SGD 600,000 with dollar-for-dollar matching through the SG Gives Matching Grant — in support of the many causes championed by Community Chest.

Together, we rally behind those facing life’s toughest challenges and reaffirm our shared belief that progress is possible when we move forward as one.

Frequently Asked Questions

Relay SG60 is a special event to celebrate Singapore’s 60th birthday. It is part of a broader initiative, Relay Majulah, which was initiated in 2019 to commemorate Singapore’s bicentennial and raise funds for the President’s Challenge. We envision Relay Majulah as a long-term platform to rally Singaporeans to unite as one, participate in sports, and give back to the community.

Relay SG60 is jointly organised by Li Foundation and Zephyr Running Club — two organisations committed to empowering communities and fostering a more inclusive Singapore.

  • Li Foundation is a philanthropic organisation that supports impactful community initiatives, social innovation, and global philanthropic exchange.
  • Zephyr Running Club is a non-profit running community that combines a passion for sport with a commitment to giving back.

All proceeds will go to Community Chest, the fundraising and engagement arm of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS). The funds will support its work with a network of over 200 charities, benefiting children with special needs, adults with disabilities, seniors, persons with mental health conditions, and families in need.

We are inviting employees from organisations across the public, private, and people sectors to reflect the diversity and collective progress of our nation. While participation is by invitation only, members of the public are warmly welcome to cheer on the runners along the route, donate to the campaign, and join us in celebrating this national milestone!

To make the run even more meaningful, each team will proudly carry a custom-designed flag — created by the organisers to showcase their unique identity and spirit.

If your organisation is keen to participate in Relay SG60 by forming a running team, we’d love to hear from you. Please contact our organising committee at relaysg60@gmail.com, and we’ll be in touch regarding available opportunities.

If you’re unable to form a complete team of six, we can help match your runners with participants from other organisations.

We encourage all team members to start and finish the full 10km distance together, aiming to complete it within 70 minutes. If your team requires special arrangements, please contact the organisers in advance.

The tentative route is a 3.3km loop around the scenic Marina Bay area. Each team will run three loops to complete 10km. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be relocated to the 100PLUS Promenade located at the Singapore Sports Hub. Runners’ safety is our top priority, and we will monitor for lightning alerts closely.

While there will be no centralised training sessions, each team is encouraged to train independently to ensure participants are prepared to complete 10km within 60 minutes. Before the event, we will conduct briefing sessions, and each team will appoint a Team Captain, who will act as the main point of contact between his/her team and the event organisers.

Each runner will receive:

  • A runner’s T-shirt and a finisher T-shirt
  • A goody bag with snacks and thoughtful surprises
  • A certificate of participation
  • A beautifully crafted coffee table book capturing the spirit and stories of Relay SG60

Yes, the organising committee will present a variety of awards to recognise outstanding contributions from participating organisations and individuals. These include:
