Relay Majulah in 2019 was a Singaporean initiative that brought together people from all walks of life to participate in a relay run in commemoration of Singapore’s bicentennial and fostering a strong sense of community. The event aims to unite individuals across diverse backgrounds and personal life stories, all while supporting a common cause.

Relay Majulah was co-founded and co-chaired by Mr. Ong Tze Boon and Mr. Bennett Neo. The inaugural edition brought together 200 runners covering 2,000km over 200 hours across Singapore to raise funds for 67 charities supported by the President’s Challenge. The event made history by entering the Singapore Book of Records for the longest distance covered consecutively by 200 athletes in 200 hours.

Each participant carried more than just a baton — they were driven by purpose, fueled by passion, and united by a shared belief in the power of community.

Among the runners was Mr. Lionel Li, Founder of Li Foundation, who later championed the publication of the Relay Majulah coffee table book and supported a photography exhibition, documenting the heartfelt moments and extraordinary stories that emerged during the relay. His continued commitment to this cause helped preserve and amplify the spirit of Relay Majulah beyond the event itself.

Now, in 2025, Relay SG60 continues this legacy — marking a new chapter in the story of national solidarity and community-driven philanthropy.
